You Tube becomes Google Tube?
The internet land grab continues without stopping, I guess. The snapping up of popular (sut usually very unprofitable) websites by the biggest companies continues. It has been that long since Fox Companies / Rubert Murdoch snapped up MySpace for about a zillion dollars. Well now the rumor mill has Google buying You Tube, the video site that gets tons of viewers but I don’t think could find a profit if you gave it a 10 second head start and a map. I guess Google can find a way to turn all those eyeballs into something other than bandwidth bills, and I suspect with their new server farm, it won’t even dent the bottom line.
